Knights of Columbus Family Picnic

Conner, Al and I went to the 2nd Annual Knights of Columbus Family Picnic. For the second time around, they made some improvements. They chose a better weekend, in my opinion! (But it conflicted with Brunswick's big graduation weekend, so maybe it wasn't really better for all, just for us in the Heinle Family!) They remembered the lighter fluid and that made Al's job of grilling the hot dogs and hamburgers much easier this time around!
Conner took a nap for about the first 45 minutes that we were there and then he ate just a little bit at the meal. He went for a walk around the camp in his stroller with me and then Al got him on that silly ride-on truck that makes me worry that he is going to fall off on his head.
At this picnic, they introduced the Lady, the Youth, the Family, and Volunteer of the Year for Al's Knights Chapter. This was a nice setting for the presentations, only Conner got a little impatient and wanted things over. The Family of the Year got a statue of the Holy Family to display in their home. I feel for the family that received it, because I would be so worried that someone would break it accidential, while it is in my home.
We didn't take any pictures at this event, but we should have as Conner was wearing his new sweatsuit!
Have a happy Monday!
Wendy
