Mother's Day...

What was my first Mother's Day like? It was such a happy day! Al, Conner, and I went to church as a family at Al's church (we went as a family to my church on Saturday night!) and then we went to breakfast at the Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast. We were joined at church by Al's folks and his brother Russ's family!
We went back to the Heinles for gifts. I got presents from Conner, Al, Al's folks,and Russ and Laurie and Hope. All of the presents were so thoughtful. Al got me a family ring with my birthstone and his and Conner's birthstones. Conner got me a mother and son necklace. I also got the Adoption Willow Tree Angel. It is called Child of Mine. Russ, Laurie, and Hope got me a blue Mickey Mouse charm for my "Waiting" bracelet and scrapbook stuff for my Conner Scrapbook. Mom H and Pops' gift was backordered, so I will have that to look forward to sometime down the line.
I also got a giftcard to Coldstone from my niece and nephew in St. Louis. Tyler and Abby got me a fancy candle and stand that smells yummy.
We went to Sam's Club and shared a sundae. After that, we went to my sister's for dinner. We watched 27 Dresses and had great cake. My mom made me a beautiful counted cross stitch of a mommy angel and had the best poem mounted on the back. I don't know where she finds the time to do work that this. It is so detailed! I could never have the patience to do this!
All and all, it was a wonderful day! If the weather had been nice, it would have been perfect!
