Al brought tons of toys for this little guy! He really liked some of the toys that David and Payton gave us. I know that they were not ready to give them up to the new baby, but he loves them.
Last night, our baby decided that he just wanted to be held. He was having nothing to do with sleeping on his own. We tried it Al. I slept holding him for a while, while Al watched us to make sure he was okay, but I could not do that all night. So then, Al took him for a walk in the halls, where he heard his buddies Jaime and Will crying for their new parents as well. Jaime's mom speaks Spanish, so she is best out of the three families for soothing the babies! She does a great job.
Al ordered in dinner from McDonald's for us last night. We had chicken sandwiches. It was not a great feast, but it was food. That's the hardest thing about not being able to leave the hotel...it severely limits your food options.
I met with Hector last night, who is our facilitator for the attorney. He went over our paperwork for our visit to the embassy. Al went to Happy Hour and the baby and I watched the sunset and the cars on the street outside of the hotel for a long time.
I want to just go for a walk, but it is not safe to take the baby out on the street here, so we just are content to watch the street and the cars go by.
More about today's adventures in a while. It is time for "coffee!" There are new families in to meet their babies for a visit trip today.
