Bring on Fall...

I love Fall weather. A pair of blue jeans and a sweatshirt are my favorite things to wear as the weather begins to get colder around here. Yesterday, it was casual Friday dress. So I went to work in my blue jeans and my new Buckeye Hoodie. Yes, after all this time of working at Buckeye, I finally bought myself a hoodie. We saw them at the New Walmart, when we went shopping for David's birthday presents. My eyes got all wide and Al said, "Try one on and see how they fit." So I did and I was hooked. I don't think that I have spent that much money on any one item of clothing for me in years. Through my weight loss journey, I have been buying most of my clothes at Salvation Army or other resale shops or relaying on the kindness of relatives and friends, who offer me clothes that they were getting ready to give away. I have picked up a few "nice and brand-new items" from gifts that I have gotten from people who know that I just won't spend money on myself, especially now that we have Conner in our lives. But this was the first full price/brand new item that I have bought without having a real reason to buy it (It's sad that I remember exactly what I bought last...the two dresses that I wore to Conner's welcome home showers!)
I am in the mood to make soup and eat apples. I have declared the official Fall season has begun. Please raise a cup of apple cider and toast with me the end of shorts and tank tops, swimming suits, and sweating for another year!
