Monday was a big day! Mommy took the day off from school and we went to Medina to a place called the Courthouse. Mommy made sure that Daddy and I looked and smelled very good. She wore a dress, so it must have been super duper special, because my Mommy is a big fan of sweatpants and pajama pants, when she isn't at school.
We waited for them to say our name. Then we went into a room where there was a little desk, where Mommy and Daddy sat. A man came in and he sat at a desk with a computer on it. His desk was way up high. He had a big hammer thing. He talked to Mommy and Daddy about who they were and where did they live. Then he asked Mommy to talk about adopting me. Mommy talked on and on about going to Guatemala to get me and how we love to be a family now that I am home. After the man listened to Mommy babble on and on, he hit the hammer thing and called Mommy and Daddy my "forever family". Mommy cried just a little. Then, a lady came in and took a bunch of pictures of us. The nice man gave me M&Ms, because Mommy said it was okay. Then, Mommy got papers and we went to the car. Mommy made us go to have a picture taken together. I think that's why she wore the dress!
